Lead Welfare Officer

  • Advise and support the Committee to implement welfare policies and procedures and to support the club to adhere to codes of conduct and good practice in accordance with UKA/EA and the Club Constitution.

  • Liaise with external agencies where concerns have arisen over the welfare of members.

  • Respond to any suspected breaches of the Welfare Policies and Procedures.

  • Ensure that all coaches/officials/volunteers have completed CRB and Independent Safeguarding Authority checks as required and assist in this process as appropriate.

  • Act as CR's DBS identity validation official (note: the applicant must have an up to date DBS check).

  • Ensure that the interests of, and impacts upon individuals, groups and membership as a whole are considered in discussions and decisions made by the Committee.

  • Manage the club’s grievance and disciplinary process
