stay safe in the sun
As the weather gets warmer, please make sure you protect yourself from the sun when you run with advice from the NHS.
You might also want to bring a bottle of water with you to club run and on your runs.
Being sun smart is about looking after your skin all summer, not just during heatwaves or when you’re on holiday.
Even in Chorlton you can get burnt between March and October. Follow these everyday suncream tips to stay safe from skin cancer and protect your skin:
spend time in the shade between 11am and 3pm
make sure you never burn
cover up with suitable clothing and sunglasses
take extra care with children
use a ‘high protection’ sunscreen of at least SPF 30 which also has high UVA protection
